What’s New 2011

Here are the details of the changes we made in 2011 when we totally refurbished All Decked Out.  For pictures that compare the old with the new, click here.

-Everything has been repainted – from the “yellow” to a light beige
-New ‘Allure’ tile floors have been installed in the kitchen, upper and lower bathrooms, front entry and laundry room
-New ‘Mineral Earth’ carpet has been installed in the entire cabin, replacing the aqua carpet
-The white leather sectional in the main room has been replaced with a blue microfiber 4-piece sectional
-The entire decor has been changed to an ‘Americana’ theme (red, white and blue)
-The old charcoal grill by the front deck has been replaced by a new, larger grill
-A new ‘welcome’ mat has been placed just inside the front door, on the new tile entry way
-The Tino print over the fireplace has been moved to the Family Room.  In its place is a “flag quilt,” handmade by Phyllis
-The ‘chickens’ on top of the kitchen cabinets have been replaced with American pottery vases
-New dining room table and chairs – wooden chairs, similar to the game table chairs in the Family Room – replacing the heavy metal/wicker chairs; new larger wooden table that comfortably seats 8 people
-New curtains in the main room (living and dining areas)
-New DVD/VCR installed in the main room
-New king mattress and spring sets in the main bedroom and lower level bedroom (the former main bedroom set has been moved to the upper level bedroom).
-All mattresses have been encased in special mattress protection pads designed to protect against allergens and pests like bed bugs.
-All new bedding has been added – new comforters, pillow shams, bed skirts, sheets and pillowcases, in keeping with our new decor theme
-New curtains have been hung in the main floor bedroom
-The black/glass bedside tables have been moved from the upstairs bedroom to the main floor bedroom
-New glass/metal bedside tables have been placed in the upstairs bedroom
-For guests with babies, there is now a PackNPlay in the main bedroom closet.
-The Family Room has been rearranged to provide a more ‘open’ layout
-A TV and DVD player have been installed in the corner of the Family Room, between the windows
-The pool table has been refurbished, and new ‘Electric Blue’ felt has been installed
-The air hockey table goals have been engineered to make the goals work better
-Many new decor items have been added, with more to come
-Quilts made by Phyllis have been hung over the bed in the upper level bedroom and on the wall above the steps going upstairs.
